
The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has resumed drafting a decree on the customs process for e-commerce items by releasing a brand new draft (“Draft Decree“) to manipulate varied points on cross-border e-commerce. These points embrace customs declarants, threat administration, knowledge processing, import allow exemption, import responsibility, customs valuation and the customs process.
The Draft Decree focuses on the next points:
- Customs procedures for items exported and imported by means of e-commerce transactions, together with items despatched by way of postal and categorical supply companies

Items order of as much as VND 2 million (approx. USD 80) imported below this customs regime shall be entitled to exemption of bodily inspection and import responsibility (restricted to a complete worth of VND 96 million (approx. USD 3,900) per calendar 12 months per importer).
